*Beware of calls from Ph no: 8051440207* Calls are from a person telling/stating that he is from RBI and is doing the ATM verification process for all the banks. He will also ask you to share the ATM Card details you have against your Name. He would convince that he is not asking for Pin but only the card Number. On denying, he speaks our name (may be obtained from truecaller) and tells it is a government verification process. He starts threatening that they have all details and will block all ATM Cards and account balance will become zero and all money will be credited to government account until you complete the verification process. If you disconnect the call he calls you back to threaten. If possible, put this number in your REJECT LIST (Android) or BLOCK THIS NUMBER (iPhone).

Purporting to be from National Grid helpline re a complaint about my business. Claimed not to be switching agent but got very irate when I asked questions and wouldn't provide answers

I agree completely with the comment posted on 26/03/18, I've had two calls today, did not answer because I did not recognise the number - no message left, only now after I searched "Who called me" site do I realise it's my energy provider Sottish Power who have been calling me, because I'm in the process of leaving. It's obvious they need to get their act together, staggering to think that such a huge company hasn't the presence of mind to at least leave a message, instead of leaving me with the impression it's a nuisance call, which it isn't.

haven't stopped calling me for over a week at least twice a day and the calls started before I had put in my switch to OVO!! contacted customer service and they had no record of them contacting me and when I've called the number back it says 'you were contacted on behalf of Scottish power' leaving them because they take a DD every month that they set dependant on our meter readings and yet every 3 months were in debt!!!!! going to OVO for a smart meter!
Yes I'm switching to Bulb, so after checking your site I see its Scottish Power calling. I have been a happy customer with SP and no complaints just Bulb are a damn site cheaper. So thanks to this site I can ignore/block the calls Thank you.

Just came to check this number and realised from all the comments its SP!! I have also just switched energy supplier as they do not have smart meters yet for pay as you go users! I'm only saving £2 a year by switching to Utilia but they have the payGO smart meters I am after so I can pre- pay for my energy via their app with my bank card rather than having to hike to the shops with young children to top up meter cards! get with the times Scottish power! my sister has also left for the same reason.

They don't get through as I have Call Guardian and they aren't brave enough to go through the screening procedure. Must be Scottish Power as I am moving to Bulb (along with many other respondents). If they want to keep our custom they should charge fair prices!

Scottish Power still owe me money from when I was their customer but I gave in as it wasn't enough to justify the aggro. And let's not talk about the billing fiascos. Plus I'm still getting spam calls. I'm now with Bulb Energy who are a breath of fresh air. I'm saving over £250 per year, they pay exit fees up to £120 and you can get £50 credit for switching with a referral link. The referrer gets £50 too, so you'll get your own link to refer friends and family or anyone else who wants to switch. I can't recommend Bulb highly enough. I have just spent 11/2 years with this diabolical organisation who have almost driven me out of my mind. None of their staff in the various branches has a clue as to what they are doing. I have had a substantial amount of compensation from them but this does not make up for the countless hours I've spent writing and talking to them on the phone. Mostly zombies- many from Liverpool- arrogant and ignorant thickos who havn't a clue. I have recently moved to Economy Energy. Let's see if they can do any better. Regards Richard Budniak
No doubt Scottish Power as I'm leaving them after trying to come to a resolution with them through the third party payment system. I tried for four years to resolve the issue through their terrible offshore operators, who could do nothing more than read a script from a screen, which had nothing about such arrangements, therefore did not exist as far as they were concerned. Two years ago they forced entry and installed a payg meter, to which they added as much as I ordinarily used in a week, doubling my electric bill. As a disabled person, on ESA and DLA and with limited mobility I was supposed to be on the watch list for emergency power and never to be cut off because of medical equipment in use on the premises. Awful company, glad I found someone to switch to, thanks Boost!

I queried it as we've not used any more energy to be told we use a lot of energy, yes we do as we are a family of 8, why have you increased my direct debit by £76 a month, I was not in arrears, YOU greedy idiots have put up your prices, now they want to speak to me for a better deal?? I have just completed a switch from Scottish Power who did at least try to get me a better tariff for my elderly Mum when I phoned them. The offer was no where near the best offer from one of the small energy providers found through the Martin Lewis Energy Club.
Yes Scottish Power, because I'm switching away from them, what's more annoying for me was the person calling lied to me say I had to pay an exit fee which is not the case if it's less than 49 days before your Tariff ends.

Scottish power called,in process of leaving them. To be fair i never had any issue with them. Direct debit went up and down based on my usage,some people prefers stable DD you can't unless your usage is the same every month otherwise you will end up with huge balance(+ or-) mine was 700 pound in credit ,ask them to pay it to my account. Reason for leaving is the price per unit isn't competitive enough,i advice to compare suppliers based on cost of the unit. Beware of people mentioning name of companies they switching to they paid to do that(salesmans)

Told the man that he phoned me so I should be asking the security questions this and that I knew the process so didn’t need to talk about it with him. He was fine and ended the call.

ScottishPower. Switching provider and as others mentioned, they are ringing during the cooling off period. Two minutes to see if they can quickly offer you something better. In my case their screens said they couldn't and they wished me well. All good.
Scottish power called following a switch transfer request from me to change to another company. After an attempt to get a decent offer from them this call is a bit late. There were many better deals to be had so not a difficult decision. In fairness I've not had any issues with them like other people. But after they tell you you may get a better deal elsewhere should they be surprised at a move?

A month ago a customer services lady told me to contact them nearer the end of my tariff for a special only fir me tariff called Fresh Start based on my electricity useage. It doesn't exist and they won't even do anything if they do find out who it was. Both conversations over the internet were requested as emails but nothing came! Now they want my custom back, not likely, if they can't play fair they've lost me to East Riding Council who have an electricity sharing scheme with So Energy, simple and quick to access, goodbye Scottish Power.

Scottish Power, trying to offer me a better tariff as I've used USwitch to move to Octopus energy. I've not had major problems with SP but they do frustrate you changing the DD amount frequently instead of once a year. Tariff this time has gone through roof so having to change supplier.

So Googled the number and looked at this website and noticed many people have had the same number call them from Scottish Power. Reading all the comments it seems that they are desperate to keep you as I have just left them for Bulb. They appear to be the cheapest so I thought I would give them a try. After all Scottish Power just whacked up my bill horrendously. Time will tell with Bulb but I will be saving money.

Yes I to am moving, after being a loyal customer for far far too long. I would suggest that Scottish Power couldn't run a PU in a brewery and as for customer relations and an energy company, NOT A CHANCE. As far as I am concerned they are now a tainted brand something I would suggest they should try and address positively and dam quick. Wait now for a name change, well they are not Scottish anyway. For myself I will never give them the time of day for as long as I liv..........
Checked this number after multiple calls, as its clear, its Scottish Power, decided to change from them first bill after starting with them. Sent my usage from the last supplier and got a great quote, first bill, they doubled the monthly debit, stating I surprised them on my usage, which was the same I sent them, called to complain and got no where, told I could pay the difference as a one time, tried to do this and the £113 due, on their sliding scale, I would pay them £500. Crazy, beware of low quotes, as the contract came to an end, they have twice dropped the monthly debit and we are still in credit by over £200, clearly their efforts are to get you're money, not provide value.

I had an account with Scottish power for gas and elect which included the annual service contract as combined package. The annual service was not carried out in 2017 and I only received 2 services in 4 years and that was after chasing them for a few months and they turned up at 10pm at night for a an aftn pm call. when I split up the gas and elec from the service it was costing me over £600 extra for the annual service cover. plus the smart meter isn't smart at all as it doesn't work and its only a few yards from the outside meter!! I will never ever use SP again and am so annoyed I never switched sooner.
So glad I answered their call - they have saved me more money (although shows theirs cheapest tariff wasn’t actually their cheapest!) Also turns out the other supply company hadn’t made me fully aware of what I was signing up to (or I wasn’t properly listening)
