This is a scam call from a number which is not recognised. Caller is aggressive and demands personal details.

I received a call yesterday stating they were from First Utility and said that they could offer me a better tariff although I had only just change the tariff. The guy was quite persistent, however I said that I was not interested and ended he call. Tried phoning the number back on several occasions and it never connects.
Second time in two days. did not pick up, although I have relatives in the north-east. No message left. Will bar future calls
If its First Utility then it is probably about getting a Smart Meter fitted. They ring from different phone numbers to catch you out. Last time it was a Buckingham number.
A woman called me from this number and said she was from First Utility. I had seen this number on my phone many times and had up to now ignored it after checking who they were. She said she was from First Utility. I asked where she was speaking from and she said Newcastle. I Told her that I thought First were in Warwick and she said they had moved headquarters to Newcastle. I challenged her that I thought this could be a bogus call and she said she didn't know anything about that. Then she said that I could change my tarriff and do all transactions on line. I already do that and I told her I wasn't prepared to give any details on the phone so she backed off and rang off after apologising for disturbing me at 8.30 in the evening. I suspect this was a bogus call. She knew my contract ended soon but didn't seem to know anything else. I would suggest if you are called from this number ignore it or block it if you can.
It's First Utility trying to get you to renew. They're legally bound to inform you that your current deal is expiring and you are about to go onto a higher tarrif
Multiple calls from this number and am so sick of the unsolicited calls that I decided to go online and check the number out. I dont answer unsolicited calls and am really angry that it is first utility my energy supplier. I am on a fixed rate with first utility until 1st July and will be looking for a switch now I know they have passed my private number on to a 3rd party.

I am getting multiple calls from this number on my cellphone and it is really annoying since I work inside a hospital and keep my phone on silent all day - they don't leave messages and I am not prepared to call them back - whether it is First Utility or whether it is not .... So as I walk home I see these calls ... I have now blocked this number - thanks for the information Cindy Phillips

They rang me today but did not leave a message on answerphone. Reading your comments, the number was my energy supplier but out of courtesy they should leave a message to say they will ring another at time.
just rang, no message left - I am with first utility but do everything online - I found out from Martin's money tips they are no longer my best tariff.. wondering if they're just cold calling to change...
Got a call from them - couldn't answer, so it went to voice mail. No message left but background noise indicates it's a call centre. Time to block it. :-)

Lady called Sophie from First a Utility wanting to offer new tariff. As it happened I had checked bill that morning and new tariff would only be better off by £6. Ended call and rang First Utility, they had no record of call to me or the number in their outbound numbers.

I received a call from 0191 594 6545 yesterday evening (12 August 2016). After a long silence the call disconnected.
They keep ringing and when you answer the phone, they dont say anything or answer you back. So annoying

Calls several times throughout the day and when you answer they don't say anything
Silent call for about 10 seconds. I left the line open, they knew my name but I didn't answer. Other reports seem to indicate it is First Utility, who I am with.
Had two calls on my mobile from this number today. The first stopped after two rings and the second after three and I didn't have time to open the phone. Don't know why they do this whoever they are but wish they would stop!

This number called me today at 19.30, no-one spoke and after a few seconds hung up. This is the third time they have called me today.

I had a call 2 days ago from this number, said they were from First Utility and could offer me a better deal, I was busy so told them to ring a day later. They rang again yesterday evening but I didn't answer the call as I was a bit dubious.

Received a voicemail saying something along the lines of 'superstar pen, superstar pen' then they hung up. Loads of background noise.
I had a call from this number,whilst on the phone I checked the number,it is First Utility retention team.The following morning, today I rang First Utility,they confirmed it was the retention team.Hope this helps... Friday 28/10/2016
Called me today claiming to be from my energy supplier, First Utilities. Knew lots of details from my account - Gas and Electricity usage, end date for my current contract. Asked for me to confirm name and address, then claimed their system was playing up and would need to call me back. Called First Utility's Customer Service number (01926 320700) who confirmed that the call was from their sales team.
your a mong, they cant divulge that information. Its called the data protection act!

Received a call from this number this evening claiming to be from First Utility, they knew the details of my contract and when it expires and offered me a better rate. They agreed to send me an email with the quoted figures and an email duly arrived, from the same address that all previous First Utility emails have come from.
Called me today. They claimed to be First Utility but this is not the number that appears on their bills - so who is it? Wanted to quote me on renewing my electric. Asked me the first line of my address at which point I said no I don't know who you are and hung up. If they were First Utility, my current supplier, They'd know wouldn't they?

Called me twice today, Wednesday 21 Sept 2016. In each case I was met with silence before they disconnected. It is strange that previous comments associate the phone call with First Utility. It also seems strange that the people being pestered are indeed First Utility customers. First Utility deny all knowledge of these phone calls, hence only one conclusion can be reached: First Utility have either sold or somehow divulged customers phone numbers to a third party.
Three missed calls on consecutive days (midday + mid-PM) while we were away. They didn’t leave a message. I’m an out-of-contract First Utility customer so maybe them.
Called today 20th July 2016. Said it was First Utility wanting to offer their best tariff then said before they could proceed they needed to go through some security questions with me and began by asking me to confirm my date of birth - told him I wouldn't be confirming anything to some random caller at which point he hung up

I have been called so many times I have lost count. I didn't know who's number it was so I don't answer then but I got fed up so googled it and found this website which has proved very useful. I am with First Utility and as it seems to be them I am now thinking about switching to another supplier as I do not condone underhand practices such as these.
Have called several times but never leave message, last night when it went to answer phone a Geordie sounding man was trying to speak to me as if I'd answered the call, it was hilarious, he got really cross shouting 'why would you not speak to me when you've answered the phone' I hadn't!!! Taste of their own medicine I think, will not answer this number!!!!!

Missed call on mobile....called the number back. strange American recording says "you will be transferred to the next available operator". woman with a Geordie accent (it's a Newcastle number) answered... Just said "Hello" no introduction. Asked who she was.... says First Utilities. Asked why she would be calling me, she replied "to discuss some new tariffs with you" (I am a customer). So basically just a sales call but they are genuine if a little poor at communicating. I did also get an email from them today so possibly just chasing up on that

I phoned this number back and a friendly lady answered. I asked why their number was different from that on First Utility correspondence, and she said that they are 'retentions', whereas the 01926 number is customer services. Still poor to not leave a message though!
THEY RANG ME TODAY .. it was apushy phone call which i cut short as i was at work... the first thing first utility shoild ask if they must call is " is it a good time to talk" ... it wasnt!
Said they were from First Utility, calling about a new tariff. Asked me to confirm my details - I was at work, so I didn't, but said I'd look into it later. When I called First Utility directly later the same day (on a different number), the staff member I spoke to said no call was logged on my account, and that there was no record of anyone from the company having called me. Very glad I didn't offer any details!

I ve had a call of this number today saying my first utility payments have dropped and I also get 60 pounds worth of Amazon vouchers .then when I rang first utility helpline there was no such thing
First Utility calling about renewing contract, after many calls I answered one and they haven't bothered me since.
Some character by the name of "Liam" from "First Utility" rang at 1215hours on the 30/08/17 and addressed me by my forename....when I confirmed same...he then immediately rang off. Most odd!!!
This number calls my landline number 2 times on Friday & calling me today . They are really annoying. Due to problems in the past I have stopped answering phone calls Where I do not know the number. Just wish these calls would stop, I am with call preference but still having these annoying calls. Anyone got any suggestions on how to stop them?
