I keep getting a call from this number and when I call it back.. by actually returning the call from the number itself (not typing it in, just clicking call back) it says I dialed it incorrectly or they aren't available now. It's always an automated message. They never leave me a message either.

Had call saying they were BT and that they had a problem with hackers and needed to check our router and work out if they could fix the problem remotely or if they needed to send an engineer. They asked me to confirm I was the account holder but I said if they really were BT then they could tell me. They said my husband was the account holder, but used my sons first name. Clearly this was a scam - our son lives with us but does not pay the bills. I checked with BT and yes they do have indian call centres but said they would tell me my account number if they called me but wouldn't ask me for any account information such as passwords of course. It was really scary as my husband is in hospital and when the phone rang first thing this morning my guard was down as I expected the call to be the hospital. Mrs Wallace

Apparently it's the o2 phone company, they have been phoning me for a few weeks now but i didn't answer the calls until today... They rang to say they could upgrade my contract with being a loyal customer! Was persistent i needed to know what phone i would like to upgrade to in which i said i don't know... They then said they would transfer the call to their department that deals with upgrades... So i waited for a few seconds the line went silent so i put the phone down... I have since received 2 more phone calls all within the space of 5 minutes from a similar number only difference is the last number is an 8 and not a 7... So maybe these calls are legitate but I'm still quite sceptical about the calls and they do seem to be getting quite of a nuisance!!

Rang me twice on 03.12.18 & once so far today. Accepted the first call but did not speak as some of these types of calls are voice activated & a call handler does not pick up the call until you speak. If it was a genuine call they would have made themselves known but I could just hear background noise. Did not accept the 2nd call yesterday or the call today.
