Didn't answer as unknown 0345 number. Caller didn't leave a message. Called the number back from work phone and got automated message from SSE. Sent complaint to SSE for the fourth time to stop pestering me for a smart meter that i don't want. Surely this is illegal if we're on forth official complaint!

This is SSE. You cannot block the number. Contact customerservice@sse.com and tell them to remove you from the 'automated dialler'. It take's about two days for them to respond, it then takes them five working days to remove your number from the automated dialler. They won't stop unless you take action.

SSE called me from this number which, I suspect is an agency paid by SSE. I do not believe the system has been rolled out properly having heard through the media of 'teething problems'. I am quiet happy as I am providing online meter readings.

Had a missed call from this number earlier. Thought I'd check it to see if anybody else knew who was calling. Very glad I did now! I don't want a Smart meter and am a private renter so would not be able to agree to installation anyway. Why don't they check their own information first - yes I'm one of their 'customers' too. Blocking now and reporting to TPS. This is all because the government haven't met their targets for Smart meter installation and it's in the news!

Received a call from this number today, they claimed to be from sse but didn't sound convincing enough for me to stay on the phone so i hung up then I had a missed call from them straight after. Will contact SSE to confirm weather they had phoned or not and will update soon

Why do SSE think that everyone should have something that THEY think we should have? Smart meters are not free and cheeper electric and gas. You pay for the meters though the higher bills. If you don't have internet access they don't work so obviously expect you to pay out extra for internet too. Its an easy money spinner!

Missed this call today so did 1471. As it was a number I didn't recognise I checked it out on this website and found it would have been to do with trying to convince me to have a Smart Meter, which I definitely do not want. Smart Meters DO NOT save the consumer any money, they only save money for the company pushing you to have one. In fact, they actually cost us money whether you have one or not, as the company's put the 'equipment costs' and the 'installation costs' (plus I suspect a bit of profit) on to all our bills. So, I and many others like me (who don't have and don't want a Smart Meter) are paying the costs for all those who do have them, many of which agree to have one installed only because they are cajoled and totally mislead on the basis it would be 'free'.
